How can the Father and Son be the same?

For many years I struggled with how could the Father and the Son be the same, and did Jesus pray to himself? It is so hard for human minds to comprehend. We see things from what we understand. Denominations teach different things & we reason what makes sense to us. Scriptures tell us God can do all things and be everywhere at once. So why can't He be in heaven in the spirit and on earth in the flesh at the same time? We have spiritual bodies & flesh bodies. When we die the flesh returns to the earth from where it was created, and the spirit returns to the Creator. As humans we don't know what the spirit knows. But Jesus did know. And we are only in one place at a time (because we are the creation and the Creator) Jesus always told us not to worship Him in the flesh, but to direct all prayers to our heavenly Father who created all things. Jesus knew His place on earth & His purpose to become a human sacifice for all humans. We do not worship the sacifice, but obey all the things that Jesus told us . Jesus our Lord & Savior was the Great teacher & tried to help us understand. It was God's love for His creation that He sent His Son (in the flesh) to earth to provide a way for our spirits not to die. Man dies once in the flesh. The second death is the death of the spirit which is final. Father God often sent His angles to earth with messages for man. But angles could not sacifice their spirits for humans. It took a human scaifice to save humans. So our loving Father offered His Son to be born in the flesh for mankind. The book of John says the Father and the Son are one. As humans how do we understand being in two places at once (when we can't be), and why would Father lower Himself to man's level? The scriptures tell us over & over how God loves us and wants the best for us. He has done everything for us. God has never lied to us. Non Christians think we worship three Gods- the Father, the Son & the Holy Spirit. We do not worship the Son or the Holy Spirit, but only our Heavenly Father & Creator of all things. We acknowlege all three, just as we have flesh, spirit & soul and we were made in God's image.

Thank you for posting this. I'm still a little confused about it all, but it gave me a few things to think about.
